Cats make terrible roommates; always looking through your stuff, bugging you at odd hours, and let’s not even get into the issue of personal space. Despite all that, people go to extraordinary lengths to make their furry houseguests comfortable, but this is the furthest I have ever seen it go.

And it’s genius! A cat-ladder is a creative and sometimes incredible solution for letting apartment cats outside. Apparently it’s pretty popular, because there’s a blog just for photos of cat-ladders.

This cat ladder looks treacherous! I would love to see the kitty negotiate the last 4ft or so, it’s completely vertical!

Whoa, actually this one is way scarier than the last one. Where are they finding these Cirque du Kitties to climb these things!? Maybe my cat is just super out of shape (likely), but I can barely get her to climb on the couch.

I really liked this cat-ladder. The spiral is super coo,l and I think its probably more comfortable for the cat to climb versus the platform style spiral ladders. Also, it’s so elegant!
